Meeting with Members of Civil Society Organizations

A dissemination meeting with the members of the civil society organizations in Ajara was held within the framework of Rural Ajara Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment Programme.

At the meeting, Teimuraz Bedinadze, Director of JSC Ajara Water Alliance, made a presentation on the main goals of the Programme, current design work and planned rehabilitation.

Also, JSC Ajara Water Alliance expressed its desire for coordinated cooperation with non-governmental organizations in order to avoid possible future overlap of the investments in Ajara municipalities.

Within the framework of the Programme, design works have already been finalized for the following villages of Khulo: Dioknisi, Lower Vashlovani, Okruashvili and Duadzeebi, for the village of Tibeta in Keda Municipality, for the following villages of Khelvachauri Municipality: Kirnati and Kobaleti, and in Kobuleti, for the village of Mukhaestate settlement.

The Rural Water Supply and Wastewater Treatment Programme Ajara aims to create modern water supply and sewerage systems in all municipalities of Ajara.

The Programme is co-financed by the Federal Republic of Germany, through KfW Bank and funds allocated by the European Union.
